Section: Apple , Apple News , Commercials , iPhone , iPhone , iPhone SDK & Apps Apple has a new iPhone TV advertisement that touts the new editing capabilities of the iPhone 3GS. The commercial consists of a person recording a skateboarder, followed by cutting out the end of the video clip where the skateboarder falls. The iPhone user then continues to email the video to a friend. Again, it is very well made. In my opinion, the ability to “edit” (and I use quotes because you can really only trim it) is just another way the iPhone appears to be more like a portable computer than a consumer phone. With the Unix back end, the powers of this mobile device are quite outstanding. It will be fun to watch what Apple comes up with next for the iPhone line as I’m sure it will be even more amazing.
